Molly Hagman is a Sweden-born professional dancer, performer, and instructor based in New York City. Her passion for dance began at Malmö Dance Academy, where she trained extensively from 2009 to 2015 in a wide range of styles including salsa, belly dance, Bollywood, samba, dancehall, reggaeton, jazz, contemporary, street styles, and ballet. During her six years at the academy, she also served as an instructor, building a strong and versatile technical foundation.

In 2014, Molly completed a one-year Commercial Dance Education at the International Dance Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. As part of the program, she trained for three months in Los Angeles at world-renowned studios Millennium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynolds Studio, studying with leading choreographers such as Yanis Marshall, Nika Kljun, Tricia Miranda, Will “WilldaBeast” Adams, Misha Gabriel, JoJo Gomez, and Gustavo Vargas.

In January 2016, Molly relocated to New York City to pursue advanced dance studies at Broadway Dance Center through the International Student Visa Program, with ballet as her concentration. She completed nearly four years of full-time professional training, graduating in October 2019. Her studies included mentorship in ballet under Natalya Stavro and Jamie Salmon, further strengthening her technique and artistic precision.

Alongside her formal training, Molly developed an elite career in salsa dance. In 2016, she trained with Franklin Diaz and debuted his Boogaloo routine as a duet with Selene Tovar. That same year, she joined the world-renowned Yamuleé Dance Company, where she remained a principal member for over six years. With Yamuleé, she taught, performed, and toured internationally, establishing herself as a respected professional within the global salsa community.

Since September 2022, Molly has been freelancing full-time as a professional dancer. Her career has expanded rapidly, with performances and teaching engagements across the United States and internationally. Since April 2023, she has partnered with legendary salsa pioneer Vittico “La Magia”, with whom she performs and teaches at major festivals and events worldwide. Together, they have become a sought-after duo on the international salsa stage.

Molly is also a Head Instructor at Salsa Salsa Dance Studio in Brooklyn, New York, a well-established dance institution with over 20 years of history, where she has been teaching since September 2023.

Her performance career includes dancing for some of the most celebrated Latin music artists in the world. In 2024 and 2025, she was selected as a featured dancer for Dominican salsa star Yiyo Sarantein concerts across New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. She has also performed at United Palace during Teodoro Reyes’ 35th Anniversary Celebration, sharing the stage with icons such as Sergio Vargas and Fefita La Grande.

Molly has appeared as a featured dancer in multiple high-profile music videos, including Thalia & Los Ángeles Azules’ “Yo Me Lo Busqué” (over 10 million views as of January 2026) and Thalia’s “Ojitos Mexicanos” (2025). Her versatility further extends to television, with an appearance on The Art of Fashion TV, where she discussed her career and the cultural impact of salsa dance.
